Today was One of Those Days

Slow and Lovely Workday

I had an early night after preparing my lunch bag for work the next day. I turned in early. Relaxed and lying in bed. I guess I fell asleep but woke up a little after midnight. Love the quiet and feeling the silence in the air. Staring into darkness and calm. Kind of tossing and turning. Before I knew it, my alarm went off at 5:20am. Another beautiful day to be thankful for.

Threw the covers off to get ready to wash up, do my morning routine, some yoga. Just a little. Ate a sandwich with my morning coffee, just a little of it. Got my rolling backpack and headed for the bus stop.

About halfway through the sidewalk, I realized I left my purse behind. My bus pass is in there, so I went back to grab my purse or I can’t ride on the bus to work. At that moment, I knew I’d be late. No sweat.

I toddled back home with my rolling bag, grabbed my purse, and headed right back out. From a distance, I can see the bus arrived already. So, I knew I’d be waiting for the next one. Little did I know that the schedule had a slight change, by a few minutes.

Arrived at work about fifteen minutes late. I’d say, not bad. But I was having a slow morning, so I just rolled with it. And my colleague brewed some coffee to boost my morning and motivated me to work on authorizations. I felt like I didn’t get much done. But I did.

We also had a staff meeting. Thankfully, very low key. I think my boss could tell it was just one of those days. So, that is what my day consisted of. During the meeting, we were complimented as being a role model office for all the districts. We have the best team. Not just the bay area, but the Inland Empire which is in Los Angeles. I loved hearing that. That makes me proud and made my day.:)

It is my hope you had a wonderful day too. Gratitude That I’ve lived another day.
