Everyday Matters

Monday thru Friday – Too Many Moving Parts

Outdoor Mall Stroll

We are now in the first week of March and it will be Spring next weekend already, daylight savings hits again. The days have been somewhat fluctuating. Getting a little warm, which was nice for a couple days, switching to cooler days ahead. I was feeling the sun hit my skin. It was nice taking a break from having the heat indoors during the cooler days that just past. Saturday, I walked over to South Shore and bought two birthday cards for my sister. I bought a humor card, and then a more formal one to balance her mood when my sister reads them. Outside the air was so calming, sunny blue skies. Surprisingly, I had more energy from good sleep the night before and was happy for that. I browsed around a little. This weekend turned out relaxing, because of the sunlight and seemingly crisp warm air. I felt so good strolling the outdoor hub from a busy week.

Here’s to Prepping the Week Ahead

Given the weekend before which was the last weekend of February. I was very busy, staying up later than my usual. I had fun doing a lot of activities at my age. Haha. Ate a lot of food. Steak spaghetti with marinara sauce. It was very filling, so I thought laying low would be the end result to catch up on my energy flow for the next morning. :) I wanted to clean up my house as a priority, so I swept up my hallway. Cleaned up my living room floors as it has collected dust during the week. And then mopped up the hardwood with my swifter. It works for me, making my floors shine enough to satisfy me.

The beginning of the week, I was working at home. Monday’s and looking around me. Just pondering my day ahead. What’s my next move, staring at my laptop. I’ve optimized the workflow, and then consumers call in to follow up on their applications for service.

What’s Your Profession?

1. Do you have a job where you have the pleasure of helping clients, or customers in the same way?

2. In what ways is your strategy on providing or giving what others need to help themselves?

Perhaps, you don’t work in that field. I’m just curious. Your line of work is probably different and, that’s fine too. We don’t have to be doing the same thing. Whatever that may be, I hope you find it just as rewarding. I like hearing that consumers know where their application has been assigned from the backlog. We’re doing our part because each process counts. The fun part is they’re participating in the Dept of Rehab (DOR) program consistently. Following the protocol, procedures, and guidelines. Attending their classes, provided by DOR counselors, show up for interviews, and returning emails to counselor’s. It’s all a part of the journey we choose to take.

The Weekend is Supposed to Be Downtime

Saturday, I went with my sister. I call her the Queen, and we went out to lunch, just hung out and had conversation. My sister and I had this lengthy talk. Then I asked about what she’s been up to and how she’s been doing. We ordered coffee and espressos. I had Salmon and she had the grilled sandwich with salad. The weather was beautiful once again, so we sat outdoors on the patio. Besides, there was a separate party out in the back patio, so that was fine, we’ll sit out front. It was fun! Do you go out and check in with your sister? Brother? Or even mom and dad? I’m sure you do and probably celebrate just as much. I love hanging out with my sister. I always remember to be grateful for what I have. Who is involved in my life. Some have it better than others. I can honestly say how happy I am for the family I’ve been born into. We have squabbles occasionally, but we check in with each other and figure it out.

1.How about you? How is your relationship with your sibling/siblings?

2.What does a healthy family look like?

3.How do you feel about yours?

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that communication is important, I practice it regularly as best I can. It’s how I keep connection going and develop relationships whether they’re friendships or intimate ones, and with family. Just having healthy conversations is imperative for my health and well-being. It’s growth and I don’t see it any other way.

1.How is your communication?

2.What do you hope to change? I would love to hear from you. So how was your week? Did you have a busy week as well, and how did you cope? And, at last, it’s daylight savings. Are you ready once again for the change? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
