(Looking back Young Lady certainly could’ve been more disciplined, but her stubborn side rebelled otherwise). Boys were a priority over education. Had she known better, she would’ve stressed education in the highest regard. And would’ve thought about boys when she finished her studies.
Young lady and her brothers moved on after graduating high school and she stepped into college…… at first. Barely passing High school, but she did. Years later, she had contemplated going back to high school and doing the schoolwork to earn her diploma properly. Because it was something she missed out on. But realized it was a lot of work. And after all, she was a single mom. Her kids were still very young at the time, so that came first. Raising her kids became a priority moving forward in her life.
During her first semester in college. Admittedly, she was boy crazy. What do you expect? She was only 18. Surprise! Who isn’t a little cray cray right? Young lady met a friendly, character Carlos. He also had a group of his friends as well. Nathan, Ethan and Chen. They all hung out and were introduced to Young Lady’s High School friends. Young lady found out later on, one of the guys, Nathan, a big guy, fancied her, but had a girlfriend, so they didn’t hang out too much. Shortly after, Nathan and his girlfriend had a baby. He got sick or something happened to him and he passed away leaving his baby and girlfriend behind. So sad. God bless his soul.
Young lady used to hang out a lot with Carlos’s other friend, Chen too. And she dropped out of college by this time. Chen used to pick her up and drive Lady around everywhere. (Alter ego) She had an inkling, maybe Chen had a bit of a crush on her but he never admitted it to her. And she left it at that and didn’t pry. They had become close friends at some point during that time. One time while driving on the freeway, a car up ahead made a sudden turn on the freeway! And Chen was driving. He had to switch gears and maneuvered very well off the freeway and exited, saving both of their lives! She really appreciated that.
