Billiard Night PT II

Friends Hang Out Night

My day started off with my friend fixing my laptop. There’s a section on my blog at the time, that I initially was having tech difficulty. And I wasn’t sure that my blog was accessible for public commentary. So, my friend Fe came over to my house to check it out. We basically had some wine and they watched a little t.v. just relaxing while she was doing her thing on my laptop.

Fun Dinner and Drinks

Next time however, I want to do this hangout thing differently, where I host a bit more. As in provide finger foods, appetizers, for added luxury and entertainment. I find myself having a bit of admiration to having people, and friends around and getting to know each other. Maybe, every once in a while, as my place holds limited capacity.

Anyhow, after all this laptop functionality setback, we went to get some dinner. All this thinking was getting us hungry. We landed at La Penca Mexican restaurant and had drinks, cocktails with our burritos, Mexican rice and whatnot.

Also, my friend Fe has a business that you might find interesting. She’s a funny lady too, generous. She’s a listener and helpful. Her and her boyfriend Henry. They crack me up, so I like hanging with them. Fe sells a lot of good arts of different creativity. Mugs, magnets, clothing like dresses, hats, just to name a few. Her link has been provided in previous posts.

So, after having cocktails and dinner, we thought perhaps, we can play pool. My friends idea. I figured, sure, I’d have to brush up on my pool stick expertise, but I’ll bite.

When I was a kid, though I have no recollection on how young I was, my dad got us kids a pool table in the garage, which was converted into a bedroom. That’s when I learned to play and it was a lot of fun. So here’s my chance to screw it up. Haha!🤣

Pool Time

That Saturday, we ventured onto Benton’s in Alameda. It’s funny, I’ve lived here on the island for over twenty years and have never gone to Benton’s bar. It was not so far either, but it was a little isolated on Encinal Ave., so I can see why I’ve never been.

You may feel differently, when you ever pass by in Alameda.

They ordered more drinks, while I laid low. We played pool against each other. It was a different type of pool game, so it made it more fun, but I definitely need to polish up my game. We played three rounds. Haha!

The night ended well, I was tired and my friends dropped me off. Stay tuned until next hang out.

Thanks Fe and Henry!!
