The most fun I have on weekends. My friend Fe just returned from Arizona this past week. Her and boyfriend picked me up and we headed for San Leandro for another computer maintenance fix for me. So bad, we found out my laptop is so dated. Guess, I’ll be buying another one. Yay! Fe is very generous and gave me a keyboard and a mouse, for free. I can tell you how much I appreciate her. We had a light lunch and headed over to play billiard/pool!
We were going to meet up some other friends too. The weather was definitely mild and warm. Very perfect for the venue we were going to that provides outside seating, and pool indoors with a back door for airflow. It’s so fun! We had drinks, two bloody Mary’s a sangria, and watermelon with tequila drink. All the mixtures the bartender recommended. He was a friendly and helpful one at that. Mmm…….

In my family bible, this is what healthy friends look like after a hard work week and a long trip away from home. One of our friends, is also a couple. And they drove an hour from their destination. So, I can vouch that it was worth a whole day of fun mixed with dinner before the evening came to a close. So, I thought.
A couple hours later, and old friend walked in to my surprise. I hadn’t seen him in ages. Before the pandemic. We greeted each other, and I introduced him to my friends. We chatted a little and I had to let him know, that I wasn’t visiting at my old stomping ground anymore. And then I stepped out to keep my Auntie company playing crossword puzzles.
That old friend came outside to the tables to let me know he was dropping off a friend and that he’d be right back. He also collected my number at that moment. We’ll see what happens.
In the meantime, I continue on with my usual daily life. I couldn’t ask for better friends to spend and decompress time with.
During dinner, after a few hours of playing pool, we headed over for dinner at the Ballpark. A new restaurant in town on the main island. We ordered steak, mash potatoes with veggies, and a burger. Mixed in with tiramisu dessert. I have to say, it was delicious! Yummy!
Mind you, one of our friends have a network, and was the co-owner/partner of the restaurant. Paid for our entire meal! I felt so blessed. He was a very friendly and generous guy! Mid 30’s. All he asked for was, to provide him Filipino food at our next vendor event. Yes, agreed!
Before the evening came to a close, the conversation took a detour of mid intensity. Because out of concern and love, my friend called out her cousin on an issue of why she remains on a joint phone bill with her ex. The converse lasted a bit, until my friend realized, oops, her mom was already waiting in the van with the engine running. So, saved by the bell, the cousins gave each other hugs with apologies, and we finally left the restaurant. It was past 9:00pm last night. The most fun I have on weekends!
