The young lady is a very stubborn character of her own. She realizes needing to be more disciplined. But Young lady rebelled otherwise. If she had more knowledge in education rather than having been misguided. Her education would’ve been held in the highest regard. Boys would’ve been set aside and finished her studies.
Young lady and her siblings graduated from high school……and she stepped into her first semester on college campus. At first. In her mind she barely passed high school. At least she did. Years later she had contemplated going back to high school and doing the schoolwork to earn her diploma the right way. Which was studying hard, doing all assignments independently, studying for tests and taking them. But because she had already missed out on most of it. It certainly was a lot of work considering she was now a single mom, and her kids were still very young at the time, and that came first. Raising her kids became a priority.
College In the 90’s
During her first semester in college. Admittedly, she was boy crazy. What do you expect? She was only 18. Surprise! Who isn’t a little cray cray right? Young lady met a friendly, character Carlos. He also had a group of his friends as well. In her recollection, they were Nathan, Ethan and Chen. Of course, their names change for protection. They all hung out and were introduced to Young lady’s High School friends. Young lady found out later on, one of the guys, Nathan, a big guy, fancied her, but had a girlfriend, so they didn’t hang out too much. Shortly after, Nathan and his girlfriend had a baby girl I think. He got sick or something happened to him and he passed away leaving his baby and girlfriend behind. So sad. God bless his soul.
Young lady used to hang out a lot with Carlos’s other friend, Chen too. And she dropped out of college by this time. Chen used to pick me her and drive Lady around to all kinds of places. (Alter ego) She had an inkling, maybe Chen had a bit of a crush on her but he never admitted it to her. And she left it at that. But they had become close as friends at some point during that time. One time while driving on the freeway, a car up ahead made a sudden turn on the freeway! And Chen was driving. He had to switch gears and maneuvered very well off the freeway and exited, saving both of our lives! She really appreciated that and never got a chance to express it. He was great!! Unfortunately, they’d lost touch.
