I woke up early, but a tad bit later for the weekend. It was a lovely night sleep in my cozy mattress, and 11 hours of sleep. Waking up anticipating having a good time with friends.
First, before I move ahead with this lovely post, please check out my friend’s website: MyLittleFe – Art for Everyday Life – Marife | MyLittleFe. This is a very cute, adorable store to shop for gifts, for yourself or just enjoy browsing. Have fun shopping!
Around 11:30, my friend and I ubered to the restaurant to meet the rest of our friends. We had brunch at Dragon Rouge. A restaurant that overlooked the water. It also has outdoor seating. The ambiance in the restaurant was welcoming, bright and beautiful surrounded by cushioned oak wooden chairs, large fancy tables and a bar inside. Walking through the front of the restaurant were decorated various wine bottles along the wall behind a large glass door by the register.

Our other friends arrived, and we met her partner for the first time and their lovely, adorable kid. And we speak for all of us, when we say we approve, and adore them as a couple. They were very nice, welcoming and friendly. We got to know them and their partner who works for a wonderful organization that supports people with HIV. That’s inspiring.
The waitress approached our table and introduced herself. We ordered some curry. My friend order garlic noodles, and two of us ordered bouncy beef tenderloin. The food at the restaurant was delicious and tasty. Of course, we had appetizers consisting of spring rolls and something that looked like lumpia. While enjoying our meal and drinks, we told stories of multiple events we’ve encountered in our life, and had discussions about football, and found out one of our friends having the front court side seat watching Stephen Curry, the DUBS at one of their past events. That was an interesting discussion. It is so much fun having conversation while celebrating a couple simple birthdays. Our friends are so cool. Very thoughtful and giving. And surprised us with birthday gifts, and here I am quietly humiliated. I’m telling you, I did not see that coming. And was just enjoying brunch and shooting the sh#@#. Hence, I am very appreciative of them, and what else can a girl ask for? ” But I didn’t have a gift in return for her, I said?” Other than a big, “Thank you!” I owe her the next time we see. Girlfriend’s, you’re such a riot! :))

It is times like these that I really enjoy meeting up with my girlfriends. Especially, during a hard work week. For some of us not so much, but for others, yes. Mine was pretty easy, at the same time productive. So, it’s fun at the end of the week, to enjoy a little decompression and some laughter. Life doesn’t have to be so stressful. My girlfriends like to create the fun, and the energy that goes along with it. So, we always think of other ways, it can be different and enjoyable. Perhaps ways to be simple, and that’s where we collaborate. We bring each other ideas. We plan dates that work best to get together at least once a month, if not more, and have an amazing time hanging out.
Loved ones, on a more serious note and wrapping this up. If you ever need a shoulder to cry on, we’re all here for each other. Vent, release, express yourselves, whatever. We are the way to channel your inner compass in the most positive way, so fear not. :)Every day, I am thankful for you. And you know who you are. Hang out, listen to your banter, dancing around and laughing with you. Having drinks, or not. Have coffee, or not. Have tea, anything that floats your boat.
We are the Light! ❤️
