This past week, work was just unusually busy. To the point I felt immensely exhausted by Friday. Not my norm. Perhaps, due to receiving a particular resource included with a deadline. And then there would be a follow up to the participants they received the “memo.”
I didn’t mind so much since it is for consumers. The resource is a webinar with valuable information. And that satisfies me. If it makes the consumer happy. Then I’m happy. So, it’s worth it.
On top of that, the volunteer person at work. Friday was her last day. Fortunately, she was in attendance the whole day with me. And that made it easier since she answered phones, and distributed messages to my boss and helped participants(consumers), at the window.
Basically, I had sixty-eight participants to copy and paste resources to. The copy and pasting are done chronologically by date. And sixty-eight is quite a bit. The deadline is May 6. I’m thinking I have time to send to all. But I prefer a little bit of cushion time a couple days ahead of schedule. At least that’s how I work.
Physically, I felt short of breath. Hot and cold, at times. Hence, I hydrated throughout the day. Had migraines for a minute. My legs felt like jellyfish, and my lower back felt tight and scrunched in at times. So, I’d sit and stand frequently at my desk every 20-30 minutes.
By 5pm, I was toast. And I normally take the bus home. But since it was Friday and my feet were tired, I took an uber home instead. I think having to do twenty-two AD’s (Activity Due’s) in addition to sending out resources, only fueled my fatigue.
AD’s are authorizations that I process and send out to vendors to service our consumers. It provides them with education and training services. As well as other services, in order to land them employment.
I’m glad I stuck it out. And although more hectic than expected. At the end of the day, I am very blessed with my job, and treasure what I have.
It is my hope all my readers had a wonderful week too.
