Boring =Fun on a Saturday

My way of regenerating is staying home. Exercise, very light yoga. Every other day, I do squats. Lift weights for my forearms and wrists. A twenty-minute walk to coffee shop. And then back home. Shower, but sometimes at the end of the day.

So, on Saturday, I woke up a little earlier than usual since I crashed when I got home on Friday. Crash meaning, I didn’t necessarily go to sleep, but more so laid in bed.

I was discerning if I should not take my usual early morning walk because of my achy feet. Or if I should uber to the coffee shop. And from there, buy my k-cups for home.

While laid out on my beautiful comfy sofa, my mind pondered. Hmm….uber or walk? Well…..it turns out, the little voice told me……I want to walk. 🤔

And there-in lies the answer.

Guess what. I got my behind up and took my walk. I noticed as I walked not even half a block, it was overcast. And I thought. Okie-dokie. It’s just mist. Yes, misty rain.

I had my white puff jacket. A nice lady walking her cute little dog was looking at me, and complimented that she liked my jacket. Well, “thank you” I replied, smiled. And continued walking.

Made a pit stop at the CVS store, grabbed my k-cups. And continued onto Peets, which is just the next block over. And that’s where I ordered, sat down for twenty minutes – half hour and had a few sips of my coffee before heading back out.

Sometimes, people stare at me. Smile, and then I smile back. :). Occasionally, I greet “hi”, and take my seat to have my drink.

Afterward having rested my feet, I took off and went back home.

Worked on my blog. Watched my chick flick all day. I knew I had to rest. Basically, conditioning my legs and feet to acclimate bussing to work for Wednesday thru Friday.

By acclimate, I mean…..all my life, I’ve always been provided transportation to get around town. Bus was never the option, except in Alameda, everything is walkable.

Here I am many years later. Moved on my own. Opting to take bus to work and back home. It is so convenient. With the rise in inflation, let alone, gas prices. How can anyone not take public transportation to work? I know. Having a car is convenience and quicker.

In my case, taking bus is at my doorstep, so why not?

Count your blessings. Amen

    Walking is good. I have to get back into that habit. I’ve been so glued to my computer that I need to find the balance get back into it. When I worked in San Francisco and lived in Alameda a lifetime ago now, taking the bus and walking everywhere at work was a no brainer.

    Good job!
